Birka Coat Aslaug Brown

Our Viking Birka Coat Aslaug represents an interpretation based on finds from a woman's grave in Birka (Sweden). Since there are no complete finds, the coat shapes are only guesses. The long-sleeved coat made of our woolen fabric goes approximately to the middle of the calf and has neither buttons nor loops. Due to corresponding finds, it is assumed that it was closed with a brooch, for example our Big Brooch Adil Brass, at a tapered edge at chest level but it can also be worn and belted like an overgarment.
